Seeger, Pete Abiyoyo.  Banished from the town for making mischief, a little boy and his father are welcomed back when they find a way to make the dreaded giant Abiyoyo disappear.

 

Smith, Janice Lee Wizard and Wart.  (series of "I Can Read" books)  A wizard and his dog, Wart, have a series of adventures. 

Wizard and Wart.  When Wizard and his dog Wart advertise their magic business, they have some problems with several lovesick customers.

Wizard and Wart at Sea.  While trying to relax on the beach with his dog Wart, Wizard uses his magic to get rid of pesky seagulls but finds his solution to be just as bad as the original problem.

Wizard and Wart in Trouble.  Wizard and his dog Wart to use magic spells to battle fire ants, floods, and cold weather with comic results.

 

Smith, Linda   Mrs. Biddlebox.  With baking magic, Mrs. Biddlebox uses fog, dirt, sky, and other ingredients of a rotten day to transform it into a sweet cake.

 

Steig, William   Sylvester and the Magic Pebble.  In a moment of fright, Sylvester the donkey asks his magic pebble to turn into a rock but then can not hold the pebble to wish himself back to normal again.

 

Steptoe, John Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters.  Mufaro's two beautiful daughters, one bad-tempered, one kind and sweet, go before the king, who is
choosing a wife.  Along their journey to the king, the two are faced with disguised strangers who test their kindness.

 

Stevens, Janet   Jackalope.  A jackrabbit who wishes to be feared asks his fairy godrabbit for horns and becomes the first jackalope, but there's one condition: he must not tell lies.
Wood, Audrey

 

 

Heckedy Peg.  After a witch turns some children into food, it is up to their mother to know who is what in order to save them.

Jubal's Wish.  Jubal is having such a great day, he wishes all his friends could have one too.  Is his wish going to make them happy too?

Magic Shoelaces.  Matthew is unable to keep his shoelaces tied until he trades them for a magic pair, but the magic laces refuse to untie unless he can pass them on to a new victim.

Moonflute.  A moonbeam turns into a magic flute and takes Firen on a journey through the night sky to find out what the moon has done with her lost sleep.
